Could COVID-19 survivor blood keep people safe? | CBC Radio

The first wave of coronavirus survivors are helping to fight COVID-19 by donating their antibody-rich plasma for clinical research trials in Canada and abroad. Susan Ormiston reports.

As scientists worldwide scramble for COVID-19 treatments and cures, some see promise in antibody-rich plasma of survivors. In Canada and beyond, survivors are donating their blood for new, fast-tracked, clinical trials.

Today, CBC senior correspondent Susan Ormiston joins us from Washington, D.C., to explain why antibody-rich plasma could be useful in the fight against the coronavirus.
